Diving at the National Aquatic Centre.
The National Aquatic Centre Learn to Dive programme follows the Diving development pathway set out by Swim Ireland. Children will participate in 5 competency based levels, moving up a level once learning outcomes have been achieved.
This pathway system is nationally recognised as best practise and will allow each child to progress at their own pace. At the end of the term (min 8 weeks), each child will receive a report card with feedback for their parents and some advice on how to keep developing their Diving.
Diving is a fun, unique sport that will add real value to the sport and PE provision in your school. It is a sport the majority of children do not try – but those that do absolutely love.
The National Aquatic Centre is recognised by the International Federation of Swimming (FINA) as an International quality pool, and is therefore the perfect environment for pupils to learn. The NAC was recently awarded a Gold Award in the prestigious white flag leisure industry audit for accessibility.
Our experienced teachers are all accredited by Swim Ireland, with full Garda Vetting clearance.
*Children participating in the Learn to Dive programme must be able to swim 25m comfortably.
