Sport Ireland Campus Active Leader Programme
The Sport Ireland Campus Active Leader Programme, a collaboration between Sport Ireland Campus and Sport Ireland, aims to enhance employment prospects for participants in the sport and leisure industry by combining education and training with practical guided work placement experience across the Sport Ireland Campus. This project was approved by Government with support from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
By completing this programme at Sport Ieland Campus, participants will acquire the necessary qualifications and skills to kickstart or develop on a successful career in the sports and leisure industry, with employment opportunities at the Sport Ireland Campus or elsewhere in the industry. All graduating participants will qualify for a job interview at Sport Ireland Campus.

What's Involved
Our next Sport Ireland Campus Active Leader Programme will run from August 12th to 26th, 9am – 4pm based in Sport Ireland Campus, with practical opportunities after the course at times that suit the participant. If you are interested in taking part, please express your interest.
Our Active Leader Programme offers comprehensive development opportunities across a range of leisure and sports industry roles in collaboration with industry stakeholders. Each training session will be delivered by our top-class partners at the Sport Ireland National Governing Bodies of Sport.
Participants are developed on an ongoing basis across a range of leisure and sports industry roles in response to their skill needs. Learners will receive 60+ hours of learning and experience at the Sport Ireland Campus.
Qualifications & Outcomes
The following learning topics and certifications will be delivered on the programme;
RLSS Lifeguard Certification (Optional) | Athletics Ireland Assistant Coach Qualification |
First Aid Cardiac First Responder Certification | Swim Ireland Level 1 Qualification |
Safeguarding Certification | Active Disability Ireland, Disabilities in Sport Course |
Volleyball Ireland Gym Active Certificate | CV and Interview Workshop |
Who's Eligible
Limited spaces.
Entry into the course will be open to anyone who is at least 17 years of age before August 29th 2024. or looking to change their career path. No industry experience is required but must have an interest in the Sport, Health or Fitness industry.
This programme will be free of charge (worth over €1,500 if completing these courses privately!).
