Hockey Skills Clinic with Róisín Upton
Give your child the opportunity to gain exclusive insights into elite Hockey training, at an exciting and intensive 2-hour hockey skills clinic led by the renowned Róisín Upton at the Sport Ireland Campus Hockey Pitch, Róisín training-ground.
This clinic is designed to enhance game-based dribbling and shooting skills, ensuring participants leave with improved techniques and greater confidence on the hockey pitch.
Upcoming Skill Clinics:
- 12- 15 year olds: 10th February 2025, 5pm - 7pm. Cost: €70.

Each clinic is 2 hours, including 90 minutes of coaching and interactive drills, followed by a 30-minute classroom session to deepen game understanding, a Q+A session and, an opportunity to get an autograph or take pictures with Róisín.
Inspiration from the Best!
Róisín Upton represented Ireland at Youth Olympics in 2010, Irish Youth Player of the Year 2011. Won USA college Div 1 title with UConn Huskies (2012-2015). Her Ireland senior career was initially badly disrupted by injury but central to Ireland’s silver at 2018 World Cup and their Olympic journey, as a sweeper and scorer, including spectacular goal in shoot-out against Canada.

Under Róisíns' expert guidance, in the same location where she trains at the Sport Ireland Campus, your child will explore the nuances of the sport;
- Expert Coaching: Learn from Róisín Upton, an elite hockey player with extensive experience and a passion for teaching.
- Focused Training: Develop specific dribbling and shooting skills through game-based drills and exercises.
- Interactive Sessions: Engage in hands-on practice and receive personalised feedback to refine your techniques.
Róisín will be doing a Q+A session where participants are invited to ask and discuss anything hockey-related. This will also be an opportunity to get an autograph or take pictures with Róisín.
World-Class Facilities
This Skills Clinic takes place on our Sport Ireland Campus hockey pitch, home to the Hockey Ireland high-performance teams as they prepare for international games and events. The high-spec pitch uses the Polytan Polygras Toyko GT surface, which is the same surface that was used at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2022 World Cup.
