Sport Ireland Campus (SIC) Academy Terms & Conditions

  1. CoursePro/ Homeportal online system is used for online notifications/ scheduling/ purchasing.
  2. Bookings are purchased in blocks of 10 sessions for €100.00 and all bookings must be completed via our online booking system. Bookings are non-refundable and terms and conditions apply. 
  3.  If booking an assessment, 1/10 sessions purchased, will be used to cover the assessment, and you will then have 9 remaining credits to use for lessons. Parents/ Guardians are responsible for booking the lesson day/time after completing the assessment.
  4. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis and due to class capacity limits, spaces cannot be guaranteed. Please continue to check our website for additional spaces.
  5. All fees for Academy must be paid in advance
  6. The Sport Ireland Campus Academies run on a continuous basis throughout the calendar year with breaks throughout. Customers are responsible for checking our academy calendars for the dates of the academy class breaks. We are unable to provide a refund for any classes missed as a result.
  7. SIC reserve the right to refuse admittance to the venue or to remove any person from the venue for reasons of public safety, any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury.
  8. There will be no refunds available on unused classes. A freeze option is available on provision of a medical cert/ GP letter.
  9.  Depending on their level, new participants can sign up online or some may need to come into our Sales office to complete the registration process for our online services. Online registration must then be completed to enable customers to purchase further credits prior to the last credit been used.
  10. Communication and amendments to the academy will be completed through emails or texts – it is the responsibility of participants/parent or guardians to ensure the correct contact details are on our system.
  11. On enrolment within the Sport Ireland Campus Academy you, the participant/parent or guardian accepts and agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of membership of the facility as outlined by Sport Ireland Facilities DAC. Members and Guests must also adhere to the Codes of Conducts of the company.
  12. Where appropriate, changes may be made to Academy products, timings, format, and price to ensure meet industry standards.  As the academy is 'continuous,’ changes may occur within a current credit block due to participants joining the Academies at different stages.
  13. Management reserve the right to reschedule classes due to unforeseen weather conditions, essential maintenance, competitions, major events or other circumstances should the need arise.
  14. Management reserve the right to temporarily restrict entry to all areas when necessary for safety reasons.
  15. Management reserve the right to ask for proof of age for any child attending the Swim Academy.
  16. Management request that swimmers/parent or guardians of swimmers declare any medical issues, physical or learning disabilities on enrolment to enable the Swim Department to deliver a programme suitable to the needs of the swimmer. All information will be treated in the strictest of confidence and on a need to know basis.

Sport Ireland Campus (SIC) General Policies and Rules

1. SIC Management reserves the right to amend and add to the Policies and Rules and the Users/Members shall observe any amended or additional conditions or rules.

2. Sport Ireland Campus staff are entitled to dignity, respect and cooperation in the workplace and will not tolerate any form of aggressive or abusive behaviour.

3. Continued violation of any rules set down by Sport Ireland Campus may result in booking/event being refused or stopped.

4. The Sport Ireland Campus adheres to Equal Status Act 2000 – 2015.

5. Photography is not permitted during any Academy sessions or within the areas of the Academies taking place.

6. In the case of vandalism, inappropriate use of the facilities, or disruption to users’ enjoyment, membership/usage may be revoked or you may be charged, at the discretion of the SIC Management.

7. Members/users, patrons and their guests must always treat the facilities, its staff and other members with courtesy and respect. Membership and/or usage may be terminated or revoked for violation of any rules or regulations of the Company or for conduct deemed by the management to be detrimental to the welfare, good order, safety or character of the SIC or its members. 

8. SIC staff reserve the right to withdraw all or any part of the facilities for any periods where required for events, competitions/training, or in connection with repairs, alteration or maintenance work or force majeure.

9. The SIC has a no smoking/no vaping policy on campus and in all facilities, apart from designated areas. Additionally, alcohol is not permitted on the grounds of the SIC.

10. Users agree that the SIC is not liable for articles damaged, lost or stolen in or about the SIC, or in its lockers, or for loss or damage to any property including but not limited to automobiles and the contents thereof.

11. Personal details requested during the booking process are used for administration purposes only. Personal data is not disclosed to any third party without consent. The SIC’s Privacy Policy clarifies usage, processing and protection of personal information in line with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 12. Activities taking place within the Sport Ireland Campus are, by definition, physical sports/activities with inherent contact and risk. Consequently, the SIC cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage as a result of involvement with sports/activities/training etc.

13. Sport Ireland Campus shall not accept any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to person caused by or arising from directly or indirectly, the negligence, wilful act or default, breach of duty, breach of statutory duty, or breach of contract, of the company, servants or its agents, on or in the approaches of or in the approaches of or to its property. All persons coming onto these premises must take care for their own safety and that of other persons (guests) with them for whom they are responsible or over whom they exercise authority and must supervise and control such persons accordingly.


Swimming Terms

· Swimmers will be assessed into a class according to their ability and movement throughout the Academy is by Swim Staff approval only.

· Assessments are held for all swimmers joining the Swim Academy for the 1st time or returning to the Academy after an absence of more than 6 months.

· Swimmers/parents of swimmers and their guests are requested to vacate the changing rooms 30 minutes after the end of their class.

· Management reserve the right to change the allocated pool space for any session prior to or during a session due to pool area closure for cleaning, essential maintenance, competitions and major events should the need arise.

· Parents of swimmers age 13 and under must stay within the National Aquatic Centre for the duration of the class. Parents are not permitted on poolside without prior consent by Swim Department.

· We request parents of swimmers age under 9 stay in the viewing gallery, they may be required to accompany their child to the bathroom area.

· Lockers are provided in changing areas for personal storage during swim session, lockers must be cleared at the end of the session. Any items found in a locker will be kept at reception for a period of one week only.

· Swimmers/parents of swimmers wishing to report a problem with services at the facility should contact the Duty Manager.

· Swimmers/parents of swimmers wishing to report an issue solely to do with the Swim Academy should fill out a customer complaint form at reception for the attention of the Swim Department.

· Swimmers should avoid eating 1 hour prior to the start of their lesson.

· Swim hats are compulsory during all sessions.

· For Health and Safety Jewellery is not permitted to be worn during lessons. We ask that swimmers using lockers ensure the key part of the wrist band is tucked into the sleeve on the band.

· Conventional swim wear must be worn by all swimmers:

Please be aware clothing worn while swimming has the potential to hinder a swimmer's ability to learn how to swim. We recommend close fitting swim costumes and shorts above knees. Footwear should be kept to a minimum as it has the knock-on effect in learning how to float correctly and can have a negative effect on developing leg kick.

· Running, hopping, skipping or jumping are not permitted on poolside.

· Jumping or diving in is only permitted under the supervision of Swim Staff.

· For pool hygiene Management request that all pool users shower prior to swimming, this should only be done a few minutes before the class starts.

· Food is not allowed to be consumed in the pool area.

· For pool hygiene and member safety, children of nappy wearing age are requested to wear a swim nappy while using the pool

· Any swimmer or guest age 6 or older must use the appropriate changing room to their gender and be accompanied by an adult i.e. Boys in the Male Changing room and Girls in the Ladies.

· Swimmers must arrive at the allocated area for start of class no earlier than 5 minutes prior to session start time.

· Parents of swimmers under 9 years of age should be met by their parent or guardian at the allocated area at the end of the swim session.

· Parents or guests of swimmers must use the viewing gallery to observe lessons unless prior permission has been granted by Swim Department.

· Progression through our Academies is made by Swim Staff only.

· Swimmers must carry out activities and use equipment as per instruction given by Sport Ireland staff.

 

On signing up to the Academy, participants/ parents/ guardians agree to the Terms and Conditions and to adhere to the rules and regulations of Sport Ireland Swim Academy and will respect staff within the NAC implementing these rules and regulations.


Gymnastics Academy Terms

  • All participants must be members of Gymnastics Ireland Ltd - https://www.gymnasticsireland.com/about/membership/individual-membership
  • Parents and gymnast are not permitted into the Gymnastics hall before a class begins. Classes assembly point is in the viewing area of the N.G.T.C.
  • Children not participating in the class are not permitted into the Gymnastics Hall and must be supervised at all times.
  • All participants of the gymnastic academy, trampoline academy and preschool academy must have completed the gymnasts’ agreement form.
  • Please report any health issues or medications your child requires to your class coach at the beginning of each session.
  • Anyone wanting to talk to the N.D.T.C coaching team please do not approach them during class delivery. A designated time slot per week will be available to meet the coaching staff. Please leave your name/telephone/email address at N.A.C reception to arrange a meeting.
  • Please keep contact to a minimum during gymnastic and trampoline academy classes (this does not include the preschool academy and the ‘preschool learn explore’).
  • All parents/guardians must remain in the viewing area of the N.G.T.C. (Preschool classes may have parents aid the coach).
  • To enter gymnastics ‘3’ gymnasts must have completed three terms of gymnastics ‘1’ or ‘2’.
  • The Gymnastics ‘3’ programme offers the National Governing Body ‘GymStart’ awards scheme. Gymnasts will work through each of the levels of awards however the National Gymnastics Training Centre coaches cannot guarantee gymnasts will pass their level on the first occasion of trying. If your child does not pass a level the coach can be contacted and discuss the reasons.
  • From time to time stock of certificates and badges for the ‘GymStart’ programme is unavailable. Parents are asked to contact the coach on duty for updates.
  • The National Gymnastics Training Centre is a shared space environment and from time to time visiting clubs or the National Governing Body will operate alongside the Gymnastics academy. Shared usage does not affect the lesson plan for any session
  • For Gymnastics ‘1-3’ gymnasts are collected by their coach upstairs in the waiting area. On completion of the class the coaches will bring the class back to the waiting area/ viewing gallery. Parents must be on time for collection and coaches are not responsible for gymnasts following class completion.
  • Parents are asked not to collect from the downstairs reception.
  • Shoes can be placed on the shelves provided however the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus can not be held responsible for the loss or damage to personal property.


Sport Ireland Campus Fitness Members

  1. I confirm that I accept the protocols, terms and conditions for using the facility as displayed on noticeboard. 
  2. Sport Ireland Facilities DAC Management reserves the right to amend and add to the Policies and Rules and the Users/Members shall observe any amended or additional conditions or rules.  
  3. The timetables are subject to change at short notice, any such changes will be notified to users. 

Sport Ireland Campus Kids Camps

1.    Parents/Guardian must complete the Camp Registration Form and book online before commencement of the Camp.
2.    Children must bring a packed lunch, waterproof clothing and sufficient drinks each day. (Foods with nuts are not permitted)
3.    Camps stations that are outdoors may resume in poor weather so please ensure your child brings a towel and rain gear.
4.    The camps runs from 9am-3pm each day (Monday-Friday with the exception of Bank Holidays). Please ensure your children are collected at 3pm each day from their designated drop off point (or 5pm from the NIA main reception if you have chosen After Camp). Specialised camps may have different drop off and pick up times/ and location on the Campus.
5.    The Sport Ireland Campus is not responsible for the children outside of the scheduled hours. The SIC is not liable nor responsible for any loss or damage to property or belonging to participants on our Camp programme.
6.    Camps will be covered by Public Liability insurance but not for personal accident. Please ensure any valuables are left at home.
7.    The scheduled timetable of events is subject to change. The activities are advertised in good faith but may be changed due to weather, coach's availability etc.
8.    Camps are non-refundable, but refunds will be provided in case of illness and receipt of a Doctor's note.  
9.    Any lost property will be kept for 21 days after the Camp ends before disposal.
10.    The SIC reserves the right to suspend any child from the camp that is disruptive due to behavioral reasons without refund.
11.    Camps may only be booked by child/children's own parents/guardians. 
12. Inclusive camps require all participants to have a parent/ guardian/ career to remain present for the duration of the camp.
13. Junior camps will not be supported with toileting. All participants must be able to toilet on their own.


Sport Ireland Facilities DAC Policies and Rules

  1. All slots will start and end according to designated booking time slot.
  2. Your booking time slot includes any setting up/dismantling/removal of equipment requested or utilised for the booking.
  3. Bookings are non-refundable.
  4. Unless there is an exclusive booking, the National Horse Sport Arena is a shared facility and bookers will need to cooperate with each other for duration of their booking and ensure social distancing of 2m.
  5. All coaches must be Garda Vetted and approved.
  6. Where relevant, clubs/ organisations will be required to provide proof of insurance and/or indemnity for the Sport Ireland Facilities DAC.
  7. Sport Ireland Facilities DAC Management reserves the right to amend and add to the Policies and Rules and the Users/Members shall observe any amended or additional conditions or rules.

  13. Liability for damages to the premises will be charged to the client accordingly. The broker of any event/booking is held responsible for any damages to the premises by a contractor acting on its behalf.
  14. Sport Ireland Facilities DAC has a no smoking/no vaping policy on campus and in all facilities, apart from designated areas. Additionally, alcohol is not permitted on the grounds of the Facility.
  15. Sport Ireland Facilities DAC training areas cannot be sub-let.
  16. Users agree that Sport Ireland Facilities DAC is not liable for articles damaged, lost or stolen in or about the facility, or in its lockers, or for loss or damage to any property including but not limited to automobiles and the contents thereof.

  18. Activities taking place within the venues operated by Sport Ireland Facilities DAC are by definition, physical sports/activities with inherent contact and risk. Consequently, the NSC cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage as a result of involvement with sports/activities/training etc.
  19. Sport Ireland Facilities DAC shall not accept any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to person caused by or arising from directly or indirectly, the negligence, wilful act or default, breach of duty, breach of statutory duty, or breach of contract, of the company, servants or its agents, on or in the approaches of or in the approaches of or to its property. All persons coming onto these premises must take care for their own safety and that of other persons (guests) with them for whom they are responsible or over whom they exercise authority and must supervise and control such persons accordingly.
  20. No spectators are allowed on the Competition Pool Deck or Aquazone Pool Deck. Spectators for the competition pool must use the Concourse seated area only.
