Swimming Skill Clinic with Olympian Victoria Catterson

Gain exclusive insights into elite training and breaking records from one of Ireland's fastest swimmers and Olympian Victoria Cattreson at a special swimming clinic tailored for different abilities.

Give your child this fantastic opportunity to join a two-hour skills clinic at the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre, where Victoria trains with other Swim Ireland champions. Victoria will share tips and insights from his expertise and experience to sharpen their fundamental swimming skills and refine their techniques like a champion. 

Each clinic is 2 hours, including 90 minutes of interactive pool activities, followed by a 30-minute classroom session to deepen understanding, a Q+A session and, an opportunity to get an autograph or take pictures with Victoria. Our Skill Clinics cost €70, and must be pre-booked on the link above.

Upcoming Skill Clinics

  • 10 - 14 year olds: 7pm - 9pm on Wednesday,  16th July 2025.
  • 8 - 12 year olds: 11am - 1pm on Saturday, 19th July 2025.

Requirements

Group 1: 9 years+ (Senior Level 1+):

 Participants must be able to perform all 4 strokes up to 25m efficiently. Competent out of depth and able to thread water for 60 seconds. (Advised to be at least Senior Level 1 of Campus swim programme)

Group 2: All Swimmers; (Age 12 – 17):

Must be able to perform all 4 strokes efficiently up to 50m. Demonstrate starts and turns on all 4 strokes. Preform transition into strokes on all 4 strokes. Competent out of depth and able to thread water for longer than 60 seconds. 

*Advised to be a club level swimmer.

Inspiration from the Best!

Victoria Catterson represented Ireland at the 2024 Paris Olympics, competing in the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay. The team, which included Danielle Hill, Grace Davison, Erin Riordan, and Catterson, finished 16th in the heats with a time of 3:42.67.

In 2023, Catterson was part of the women’s 4x100m medley relay team that set a national record of 4:01.25 at the World Championships in Japan, ranking 13th globally and securing Ireland’s first women’s Olympic relay slot since 1972.

Catterson holds the Irish national record in the 200m freestyle, having set a time of 1:59.86 in 2021, breaking a 25-year-old record.

Perfect for Young Swimmers

Victorias two-hour Skill Clinic at the Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre is designed to build confidence, improve technique and, gain inspiration with small groups so spaces are limited.

Victoria will take participants through starts and turns across various strokes and will spend some time helping and correcting the finer details to make your starts and turns more technically refined.

She will be doing a Q+A session where participants are invited to ask and discuss anything swimming related. This will also be an opportunity to get an autograph or take pictures with Victoria.

World Class Facilities

Victoria's Swimming Skill Clinics are held in the state-of-the-art Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre. This is Ireland's national swimming centre and is not only built to Olympic standards but was also home to the Special Olympics Pool swimming and diving events.

For parents, the swimming lessons are viewable from any of the 2,500 seats around the pool and there is also an on-site Café and Restaurant.
