Hockey Skills Clinic with Olympian Shane O'Donoghue
Give your child the opportunity to gain exclusive insights into elite hockey training from Olympian Shane O'Donoghue at this special Hockey Skills Clinic.
Shane will share tips and insights from his experience competing at the highest level of international hockey, helping players elevate their game and develop the technical skills, tactical awareness, and mindset needed to perform with confidence.
Each clinic is 2 hours, including 90 minutes of personalised coaching and interactive on-pitch drills, followed by a 30-minute classroom session to deepen players' understanding of the game. The session also includes a Q&A, plus the opportunity to get an autograph or take photos with Shane.

Inspiration from the Best!
Ireland’s record goal scorer (119) since his debut in 2011, Shane played a key role in winning European bronze in 2015 and qualifying for the 2016 Olympics. One of only two on the current side who played in Rio (scoring three goals to help Ireland finish 10th), and one of the nine whose hopes of making Tokyo 2020 were controversially dashed in a playoff in Vancouver.
Shane won two Belgian titles with KHC Dragons and was nominated for FIH’s 2015 Young Player of the Year. He is a current player-coach with Avoca Hockey Club. Shane has a sports science degree and a MSc in performance psychology and works in employee engagement for RSA Insurance and 123.ie.

Under Shane O'Donoghue's expert guidance, at the Sport Ireland Campus, your child will explore the nuances of Hockey:
