The BeActive Campus Open Week will return to Sport Ireland Campus, from 23rd – 30th September 2026 as part of European Week of Sport.

The BeActive Campus Open Week features a series of free ‘come and try’ classes and events in partnership with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of sport, with options suitable for all ages and skill levels.

At the launch, Sport Ireland CEO Dr Úna May said: “The BeActive Campus Open Week brings thousands of people to the Campus to try new sports and activities. We have over 150 activities across the week taking place on the Campus with something suitable for everyone.”

Sport Ireland Campus Chief Operating Officer Sinead Gordan said: “It’s wonderful to see the community using the world class facilities of the Sport Ireland Campus at the Open Week, alongside our high-performance athletes. This year we’re also hosting BeActive Night with a Glow in the Dark Zumba event.’

The initiative – which is co-funded by the European Commission and Sport Ireland as part of European Week of Sport – aims to increase the level of participation in sport and physical activity in the EU.
