International Gymnastics comes to Dublin, with the 2024 Northern European Championships

International Gymnastics comes to Sport Ireland Campus this 21st & 22nd September with the 2024 Northern European Championships. 

Hot off the back of his historic Olympic gold medal win, Gymnastics Ireland star Rhys McClenaghan is joining the 'in-arena' presenter team at the 2024 Northern European Championships in September!

This 12 x nation men's & women's international event is the first podium level international gymnastics event to be hosted in Ireland. Rhys, who is taking some down time following Paris, will be joining RTE's Marie Crowe and Shay Byrne as part of the team who will be keeping our audience of enthusiastic fans up to speed as the high excitement competition unfolds!

World class gymnasts will battle it out at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena for the Team & All-Around (AA) titles on Saturday 21st September. The top 8 x gymnasts on each apparatus from Saturday's competition will then qualify through to the Apparatus Finals on Sunday 22nd September.

Competing nations include Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Wales and of course the home team Ireland

Sport Ireland Campus is delighted to be the host location for such an elite event following on from the great success at the Mens 2024 EuroHockey Championship Qualifier, the 2024 u20 Women’s European Volleyball Championship Finals, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, and the LEN European U23 Swimming Championships, as a key part of the Sport Ireland Campus strategy is to attract such prestigious international sporting events.
